The pencil gave an apology,
to the black, rubbed, dirty eraser.
Tears were visible below the pair of face
irrespective of the moods,
with a huge, deep thought gathering pace.

“I damaged you for my own use,
by spoiling that soft, beautiful face you had once.
That black body used to be the whitest,
tall, pretty and the smartest.
I owe you an apology.”

The eraser had tears in its eyes,
but it replied,
“I am not capable of that apology,
coz I just did my work properly
by erasing the mistakes you did in your life.”

Friends our parents do the same for us,
ignoring their sorrow to give us happiness.
They ignore their future to give ours’ brightness,
Giving us all the love possible.
And one of the things which has most of the value in their heart is-
Our Smile.
